members who conduct and participate in activities around the world.
Human Factors and Ergonomics Society You can find human factor and ergonomic related news,
publications and products on this site. The Society's mission is to promote the
discovery and exchange of knowledge concerning the characteristics of human
beings that are applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds.
Society For Technical Communication
Society's diverse membership includes writers, editors, illustrators,
printers, publishers, educators, students, engineers, and scientists who are
employed in a variety of technological fields. STC is the largest professional
organization serving the technical communication profession. This site provides
many links to research materials on documentation process and quality,

NSSN — National Standards Systems Network Lots of links to standards providers, developers, and

ASQ — American Society for Quality This site describes the organization and its activities.
It offers information on quality standards, certification programs (including
Certified Software Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Engineers), and a
useful ASQuality Glossary of Terms search engine.
Seattle Area Software Quality Assurance Group These software test professionals in the Seattle area
meet on the third Thursday of each month. There is no charge to join them. They
hold presentations on software quality that are followed by
networking/discussion opportunities.
Silicon Valley Software Quality Association (SSQA) This society is devoted to software quality; they're
located in the middle of Silicon Valley. Meetings are free and open to the
public.
SIGIST — Special Interest Group in Software Testing Testing branch of the British Computer Society (BCS).
