Ziff-Davis Publishing Company's publicly available
benchmarks that all Ziff-Davis publications use. These benchmarks include
MacBench, NetBench, PC Bench, ServerBench, WinBench, and WinStone.
TPC — Transaction Processing Performance Council The TPC's mission is to define transaction processing and
database benchmarks and to disseminate objective, verifiable TPC performance
data to the industry. Currently, TPC members include computer system vendors,
software database vendors, market research firms, system integrators, and
end-user organizations. This is a good source for obtaining benchmark data for
performance testing and test methodologies.

Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation Web site SPEC, a non-profit organization, develops suites of
benchmarks intended to measure computer performance. These suites are packaged
with source code and tools and are extensively tested for portability before
release. The organization was formed to establish, maintain, and endorse a
standardized set of relevant benchmarks and metrics for performance evaluation
of modern computer systems.
