Hung Q. Nguyen, Founder, President, and CEO
of LogiGear® Corporation. Hung navigates LogiGear strategic business
direction and drives its product vision. He develops partnership with
software development and IT organizations within Fortune 1000 as well as
small business enterprises across industries to help them excel in software
testing practice through LogiGear innovation and application of methodology
and technology, and through education.
In the past two decades, Hung has held successful leadership roles in
development and management of business and product, engineering, quality
assurance, testing, and information technology. Hung is an international
speaker and a contributor to industry publications. He authors and teaches
software testing curriculum for LogiGear
University, and the University of California at Berkeley and Santa Cruz
Extension. Hung is also author and co-author of several software testing
books including Testing Applications on the
Web (1st ed. and 2nd ed., Wiley 2000/2003), and the best-selling book
Testing Computer Software (ITP/Wiley). His books
have been translated into multiple languages. He holds a Bachelor of Science
in Quality Assurance from Cogswell Polytechnical College, is a graduate of a
Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program, a Certified Quality
Engineer (by the American Society for Quality), a member of the Advisory
Council for the Department of Applied Computing and Information Systems at
UC Berkeley Extension, and an Advisory Partner for Watermark Venture
Partners, LLC.
Michael Hackett, Vice President of Business
Strategy and Operations, is a founding partner of LogiGear Corporation.
He has over a decade of experience in software engineering and the testing
of shrink-wrap and Internet based applications. Michael has helped
well-known companies including Palm Computing, Oracle, CNET, Electronics for
Imaging, Adobe Systems, The Learning Company, Power Up Software, PC World
and The Well produce, test and release applications ranging from business
productivity to educational multimedia titles - in English as well as a
multitude of other languages. Michael authored (with Hung Nguyen and Bob
Johnson) Testing Applications on the Web - Test Planning for Mobile and
Internet-Based Systems, 2nd Edition (Wiley 2003). Michael holds a Bachelor
of Science in Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.
William Q. Coleman, VP of Engineering
at LogiGear. With a decade of experience in software quality assurance,
William is currently responsible for the direction and development of
LogiGear's Engineering Group. William has helped well-known companies such
as Pacific Bell, CNET, and Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company with their
quality assurance infrastructure, process development, and testing efforts.
William holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Fairfield
University.
