Invest in Software Testing Training for a Strong Quality Assurance Program

When we released our Automation Survey last year, we asked our survey takers “What would prevent you from automating more tests?” and an overwhelmingly majority replied “Not enough technical skill to build more successful automation”. These testing courses are designed for the beginner and advanced practitioner alike. In Today’s Regression Automation Challenge for CI/CD attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to define goals for automated regression, how to get started with automation, as well as the software testing methods and tools needed to help focus their automation. Attendees will also learn how to make smarter automation choices, as well as how to apply the goals of Continuous Delivery to their Continuous Testing Plan.

It is an essential part of collaboration that having great test authors skills across the team is key to successful and fast testing for CD/DevOps.In the workshop, Test Case Design Intensive—Basics, attendees will learn the differences between good and bad test cases, and the contents of a good test. Attendees will learn the benefits of structure and standards for team communication and sharing. There will be a few hands-on practices on writing test cases. This workshop essentially gives someone who has never focused on the mechanics of test case writing the tools to write Lean, effective tests.

For those that aren’t new to authoring test cases, there is the track Test Case Design Intensive—Advanced, which gives someone with all the basic knowledge a way to optimize and streamline test case authoring. In this workshop, attendees will learn some more sophisticated methods to author tests. They will do exercises on structuring and organizing test cases into suites and modules. There will also be a hands-on practice for writing test cases, as well as the unique case of workflow, scenario or path testing. Attendees are encouraged to attend both the basic and advanced workshop alike.
