Halliburton Company is an American multinational corporation and the world’s second largest oil service company and responsible for most of the world’s largest fracking operations. The company helps customers maximize value throughout the lifecycle of the reservoir – from locating hydrocarbons and managing geological data, to drilling and formation evaluation, well construction and completion, and optimizing production throughout the life of the asset.
McAfee had to spend 240 person-hours to execute 423 manual test cases, which caused a significant bottleneck in their costs, including poor builds and wasted efforts. Hence, the client needed automating functional and acceptance testing to improve time-consuming and product quality
LogiGear’s automated software testing solution allowed McAfee to automate 100% of their manual tests and expand the test suite to 945 automated scripts
LogiGear also created an automated build acceptance test to run on every build, ensuring the testing effort would be well-spent
After implementing TestArchitect, the test coverage increased from 50% to 90%, and the test suite took only 150 machine hours instead of 240 person hours per cycle.
The acceptance automated script also can be executed in under 2 hours, compared with the former 8-hour manual testing.
Hence, the client could free up their internal testing team to focus on exploratory testing.
