Halliburton Company is an American multinational corporation and the world’s second largest oil service company and responsible for most of the world’s largest fracking operations. The company helps customers maximize value throughout the lifecycle of the reservoir – from locating hydrocarbons and managing geological data, to drilling and formation evaluation, well construction and completion, and optimizing production throughout the life of the asset.
SEPTech required a comprehensive and flexible tool, combined with a powerful issues management system to measure and evaluate software quality based on trend analytics.
To manage multiuser systems, SEPTech also required capabilities to efficiently test with multiple browsers, various mobile OS, and PC apps.
Another critical demand was the solution had to be fulfilled in a cost-effective and timely manner to create both a robust and dependable service offering for SEPTech’s clientele.
After SEPtech consulted with LogiGear and leveraged the core functionalities of TestArchitect, the company decided to expand the libraries of this tool. Hence, Logigear has built customized reusable test actions for the clients and their applications.
Using TestArchitect, SEPTech staff were able to create complex test cases for conducting multiple-user sessions through a single test suite.
In addition, TestArchitect with a 400+ actions pre-built library can be utilized to develop a layered combination of generic and client-specific libraries. All data are stored in TestArchitect’s repository and available on-demand for their client’s testing teams.
This tool has sped up the customer project, reduced delays, and decreased costs. TestArchitect enhanced the capabilities of the remaining SEPTech staff to meet their demanding client needs and aggressive deadlines with more remarkable efficiency, hence increasing productivity.
Indeed, TestArchitect allowed client internal manual testers to utilize the tool, reducing the need to hire more automation engineers. They can perform multiple testing activities like functional, API, Web Services, Mobile, and Image comparison testing on their own. They can also conduct the test on different environment types: on-premise, cloud, distributed, web, desktop, and mobile, and also build up a regression testing suite.
SEPTech has further used TestArchitect to develop testing libraries for Accela (a custom-off-the-shelf product) and leveraged it across various clients’ projects.
