LogiGear Delivered

  • Recognizing the game’s objects and texts
  • Defining heuristic rules to play the game

Business Impact

  • Improving quality control of video games through test case design best practices. Developing an Automation script to run a scenario in-game.
  • In the scenario, we launch the game, set some basic settings, then play the game by controlling the character to pick packages.
  • Since the aforementioned packages’ positions are dynamic, LogiGear created a test script with heuristic rules to avoid obstacles, like rocks and valleys, and then calculate the direction to go to the packages.
  • Detecting texts in pictures and game’s objects by integrating TestArchitect with Al and Machine Learning libraries, including: OpenCV, Tesseract, YOLO3

The Challenges

Our client remains a Japanese company that specializes in video game development. In 2019, the client released their critically acclaimed and genre-defying action game. Before engaging with LogiGear, the client wanted to establish a successful Automation suite to support testing and solve automatability challenges for their 3D action game but lacked the in-house expertise to do so.

The Solutions

Project Deliverables Included:
