The Challenge

CommScope was experiencing time-consuming manual testing activities with an onshore testing partner at high costs. Customers were encountering GUI bugs in new releases. CommScope aimed to eliminate bugs upon release and reduce costs while achieving higher quality.

The Solution

CommScope consulted with LogiGear on a solution that promised quality at lower costs. LogiGear provided a high-quality engineering team along with TestArchitect, an automation tool. This approach integrated the latest technology into an easy-to-use package with modern methodologies.

Using LogiGear testing resources, CommScope moved on to automating testing for search and data import functionality. Also, LogiGear helped implement automated testing program with testing resources for the company’s back-end software replacing the existing expensive onshore manual testing.

The Result

LogiGear automated testing by programming over 4,000 software test cases for the GUI. Testing coverage expanded from 0% to over 90% to verify the functionality of their application’s GUI.

The time required to complete the entire automated test suite was reduced to only 20 machine hours, representing a significant improvement in operational efficiency.

CommScope experienced improved customer satisfaction with the software due to reduced bugs reported by customers, which also alleviated the burden on the vendor’s support staff.
