Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTOS) is a technology, products, system and software company addressing the defense, national security, and commercial markets.
Kratos is an organization that has to move as fast to stay at the forefront of technology. With regression time taking almost 6 weeks for new releases, they needed to streamline and automate.
Kratos development wanted to implement continuous testing quickly and needed a partner.
LogiGear provided on-site expertise for Kratos development to achieve integration testing within a web of sophisticated systems and configurations. LogiGear’s automation tool, TestArchitect, was a perfect match for the continuous testing requirements, able to handle multiple configurations and complex environments.
The project was then divided into two phases:
1. Build test cases to implement automated scripts into TestArchitect and integrate with Jenkins, their open source continuous integration (CI) server.
2. Design, develop and deploy Jenkins pipelines in the test environments
LogiGear helped Kratos adapt their delivery process concept for both automation testing and efficient workflow for continuous testing. LogiGear also created new test scripts from the existing manual test cases and extend additional test cases for automated testing.
The implemented test cases were then called in Kratos’s Jenkins pipeline verified as a pass, demonstrating the continuous testing practice was a success.
